Project Overview
As the X4 franchise grew into it’s third location, it again hired Plan North Partners to manage its full schedule of development, including site assessment, design, construction, and closeout. This location in downtown Birmingham was built in a historic 6-story building that came with a host of challenges. During pre-construction, for example, the local code did not permit deliveries to be staged outside. PNP worked directly with code enforcement officials to gain minor concessions on this front, as well as coordinate deliveries of goods with pinpoint accuracy. The gym’s interior design maintains consistency with its X4 predecessors and adds a beautiful and unique feature to the downtown landscape. The all-glass front brings in substantial natural light, while the glazing provides the privacy one would expect during a group fitness class.
