Project Overview

Nori Thai and Sushi was a popular spot with a loyal clientele, but in 2021 the owner recognized that his space was small and outdated. So when the property next door became available, Nori’s owner quickly made plans to knock down the dismissing wall and double his restaurant’s foot print while updating the look, feel, and function of the expanded space. Plan North Partners was engaged after an initial design plan failed to meet the owner’s expectations. PNP got to work by rebuilding the design team, including Z-Space Design, who provided all new furniture, flooring, lighting and fixtures. The kitchen equipment was also upgraded, along with new interior and exterior signage, and a 225-gallon salt-water fish tank that was situated near the front door to greet patrons on arrival. PNP managed the budget from start to finish and was able to trim costs by bidding out the general contractor’s scope and leading a value-engineering effort before construction got underway. In early 2023, Nori Thai and Sushi reopened its door after a year-long hiatus and continues to serves as the neighborhood’s go-to spot for exceptional sushi and lavish ambiance.
